If your dog is fearful and nervous at the vet, you need DR. CHERRICK. We were lucky to get in to see her and she did not disappoint. She sat on the floor and chatted with me about all the usual things (diet, teeth brushing and flea/tick prevention). She made helpful suggestions (a water additive treatment that cleans dog's teeth? Wow. I had no idea there was such a thing!). My dog was comfortable with her within the first minute. She is calm, kind, intelligent and a neighborhood treasure. I also felt that her techs were with-it and professional as well. Front desk staff were easy, too. THIS is the place.
Dr Doan helped my little guy Ash go from picture 1, his eyes barely open and in pain, to picture 2 back to his normal self. Everyone there was great during our initial and follow up visits 🙂, thank you! …
Dr Cherrick is incredible!! She is so thorough, knowledgeable, funny and kind. She’s so great with our senior and has seen him through his many issues and is always very supportive!
UPDATE to theire response: I was going to be less than 10 minutes late, and I was told they couldn't take me because the vet was leaving early, not because it was going to interfere with another client's appointment. The receptionist originally told me that as long as I wasn't more than 10 minutes late, they could still take me. I was going to be a little over 5 minutes late, and they called me back to tell me they wouldn't take me even though I was almost there.
They canceled my appointment at the last minute because I was going to be slightly late. I called to give them a heads up, and they didn't like that I was going to be there a little past my appointment time. I don't have a car and I was already almost there on the bus with my cat. Went through putting my cat in his carrier for no reason and wasted a perfectly good bus pass. Will not be coming back.
Nice people nice place nice prices! Be sure to get your pet well here if you have any problems with your pet care needs I recommend this place
I took my newly adopted 1 yo shepherd mix to North Ave vet for her first visit. We were both very pleased with our visit! The space is really big and clean, and the staff is absolutely amazing! They all went out of their way to greet us, and give Brooke plenty of treats to make her comfortable. I will continue to bring her here (along with my senior cat).
I highly recommend North Avenue Animal Hospital! I took my Sphynx kitten in to see Dr. Kritzman. I was beyond impressed with her knowledge and how much time she spent with me and my kitty. My previous vet spent less than ten minutes with us. Dr. Kritzman and her team were wonderful from start to finish. I brought Morty back the following day to get neutered. They called the next day to check on Morty and ask if we needed anything. Again, such a great team of vets!
I had been reading about this clinic and thought this would be a good choice it's close to home and Ineeded a new vet for my dog. Called to make an appt, my dog got hit by a car and the ER clinic were I took him wanted him to get reexamine by his vet. I explained this to the woman who answered all she was concerned about was collecting the down payment prior to the visit and would give me an appt in 2 weeks. No compassion here,
